Dan Alva Fortune Favors The Brave (Print), 2020
About The Artist
Born in 1984, American artist Dan Alva comes from a Spanish background of fine artists. He spent his childhood working alongside his father in the family garage and largely credits his craft to him. Alva takes iconic images from art history and popular culture and reinvents them for a modern-day audience. His bold and unapologetic pieces combine his figurative visual language with bursts of camouflage, stripes, and other patterns. Alva’s work is included in the Museum of Modern Art’s film collection. In addition to his fine art practice, he works as a creative in advertising.
